2. The big issue social and political principals are to dismantle poverty. They do this by employing homeless people and those living in poverty to sell the magazines. This creates an income for those facing poverty and gives them a purpose by working everyday.
3. The big issues brand identity is how to tackle social issues through business solutions. They call it 'ethical capitalism' By using the wealth created to help society without harming people or the environment whilst using the engine of capitalism.
4. The stories they chose to feature are usually politically charged. They love talking about Donald Trump because he is the perfect mixture of business, politics and social issues. They also like to feature celebrity's and have access to many because of the good reputation they have celebrities love to be associated with the big issue.
5. People are often presented in a comedic way if the big issue opposed them, however if it is someone the big issue likes they will present them in a good strong way. People who they are opposed to are often made fun of.

6. The big issue uses media language to convey meaning by the use of irony and humor which is different to other magazines. The big issue will make fun of politicians slogans and use photo editing to convey their message. Often it is of 2 ends of the spectrum to make people look good or to make people look bad. They often like to use cartoon images in their covers which is a use of intertextuality because they look more like a children's comic however it has a very different political message.
